Description
Cannabinol, better known as just CBN, is one of the many naturally occurring cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. It was actually the first cannabinoid discovered by scientists, though research surrounding CBN has only recently picked up. Unlike most cannabinoids, CBN doesn’t develop from the cannabigerolic acid found in cannabis. Instead, it is typically created as an oxidation product of THC when it is heated or exposed to oxygen.
CBN isn’t likely to get you high on its own, even if it is slightly more intoxicating than CBD. Yet while it doesn’t have any psychoactive effects, CBN does have a number of therapeutic benefits, from pain relief to appetite stimulation. CBN might be considered a minor cannabinoid next to THC and CBD, but if you’re looking for calming relief, it could be a BIG deal.
