Happy week to you, Campers! We hope the weekend has fared you well and, as always, you’re all geared up for the week ahead!
On Saturday, August 13th, The Happy Camper partnered with Charlotte’s Catawba Riverkeeper to help clean up our city! We managed to remove over 85lbs of trash across just 2 city blocks. We had an amazing time, and feel fortunate to have been able to work with Catawba Riverkeeper. Their mission: The Catawba Riverkeeper preserves, protects, and restores the waters of the Catawba-Wateree River Basin for all through education, advocacy, and engagement. And one we couldn’t agree with more! The Happy Camper is a lifestyle brand that also promotes sustainability, environmental activism, and education; we care about our planet and all that it has given us. Catawba Riverkeeper gave us the opportunity to give back, and we’re going to tell you how you can, too!
By volunteering through Catawba Riverkeeper, you’re given the supplies to pick up trash and help clean up along the Catawba River basin! If you happen to be volunteering solo for this, there’s a small $5 fee to purchase the necessary materials. (Not a bad investment to help support our planet!) After you’re all geared up and ready, you pick a route in your area and get to work! You can view their Volunteer Map on their website under the section entitled, “Cleanups”or you can click here: They also have scheduled volunteer clean up days throughout the year, which you can also find by clicking the link provided.
The Happy Camper is dedicated to making the world a better place – and that starts at home. We’re excited to continue to build our partnerships locally, and help to build a better community! Each month The Happy Camper is going to host a volunteer event. All of the details for each event is going to be shared to our Instagram, which you can find here: Want to become involved with us? It’s easy! Just shoot us a DM on Insta, or join our online community to receive monthly updates on all things Happy Camper!
